Daniela Ascenzi

Daniela Ascenzi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics, University of Trento (Italy). Her research focuses on astrochemistry, molecular astrophysics, and ion-molecule reactions, with applications in astrobiology, plasma chemistry, and mass spectrometry.

• Education: Master’s degree in Chemistry (summa cum laude) from the University of Perugia (1993), PhD in Chemistry from the University of Perugia (1998).

Her work spans chemical reaction dynamics, vacuum instrumentation, and interstellar medium processes. She actively contributes to scientific conferences and committees.

• Scientific Service: Member of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), Chairperson of the XXIV SASP Symposium (2024), Organizer of MOLEC XVI Conference (2006), and Representative for Gender Equality and Diversity at the University of Trento (since 2015).
