Daniel Yu

Daniel Yu is a Researcher at King's College London, affiliated with the Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry (SGDP) Centre and the Platforms for Longitudinal Mental Health Data (PALM) team. He holds dual roles as a Research Assistant and Placement Student Representative (2024-25 academic year). His primary focus is enhancing discoverability and accessibility of longitudinal mental health datasets.

Education: BSc Psychology (University of Bath, 2022). Previous experience includes undergraduate placement at SGDP Centre (2022).

Research Interests: Investigates the aetiology and treatment of mental health conditions, with emphasis on depression, social isolation, inflammation, and longitudinal data analysis. Current projects include the Landscaping International Longitudinal Datasets (LILD) and the Catalogue of Mental Health Measures.

Professional Contributions: Works under Professor Louise Arseneault’s PALM team, advancing global mental health data infrastructure. Active in knowledge translation through platforms like the UK Data Service blog.
