Professor Daniel X. Harris is a Research Professor in the School of Education at RMIT University and Co-Director of the Creative Agency research lab. His work bridges creativity, diversity, and social justice, with a focus on performance, activism, and policy. He has held prestigious fellowships including the Australian Research Council Future Fellow and DECRA Fellow. His research explores creativity studies, affect theory, and autoethnography, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration.
With 25+ years in education and 35+ years in creative industries (playwriting, multimedia, theatre), Harris has authored over 100 academic works and 22 books. His current projects address queer activism, climate change performance, and inclusive education. He co-leads Creative Agency’s research nodes on posthuman creativities, creative ecologies, and social justice.
