Daniel Tessy

Daniel Tessy (he/him) is an Iraqi-Jamaican-Canadian multidisciplinary theatre artist and technician currently working as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Toronto's Centre for Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies. With a career spanning theatre, film, and music production, he integrates field recording, digital synthesis, and acoustic instrumentation to create atmospheric soundscapes.

His work combines technical expertise and artistic innovation across roles such as sound designer, lighting designer, technical director, and educator. Active in both live theatre and recording projects, he has collaborated with companies like Renegade Arts Society, Green Thumb Theatre, and Alberta Ballet Company.

Recent projects include sound design for ART, The Last Wife, and She Kills Monsters, alongside music production for bands like DELICATESSY and Fuzzy P. He also contributes to film scoring and operates from a home studio in Toronto.
