Daniel Stolzenberg is an Associate Professor of History at the University of California, Davis, specializing in early modern European knowledge systems. Affiliated with Medieval and Early Modern Studies, Italian Studies, and the Study of Religion, his research examines scientific communication, religious censorship, and scholarly networks from Renaissance to Enlightenment periods.
His award-winning monograph Egyptian Oedipus analyzes Athanasius Kircher's antiquarian pursuits.
