Prof. Mag. Dr. Daniel Seper, BA MA is a Professor of Catholic Religious Education at the Church University of Education Vienna/Krems, where he has held this position since 2023. He also serves as Lecturer in Liturgical Studies at the University of Vienna (2022–2023) and previously as Research Associate and Deputy Director at the Pius Parsch Institute for Liturgical Studies and Sacramental Theology (2019–2024). His academic journey includes a doctorate with distinction (2017) and master's degree (2017–2019) in Catholic Religious Education at the University of Vienna.

Daniel Seper's scholarly work focuses on liturgical education as a central element in schools, interreligious dialogue, and the intersection of theology with sustainable development and film studies. He is currently leading a pilot project on dialogic-interreligious-authentic religious education in primary schools (diaRU, 2024–2025) and collaborating on research about religious heterogeneity in denominational education (2023–2026).
His recent publications examine topics ranging from liturgical reform to interfaith education, including contributions to the Liturgical Theology of Pius Parsch (2025), Liturgical Education under Pope Francis (2023), and ecumenical contributions of Pope Benedict XVI (2018). As a Research Fellow at the Pius Parsch Institute and member of editorial boards for Ex Fonte – Journal of Ecumenical Studies in Liturgy (since 2021) and Heiliger Dienst (since 2015), he plays a significant role in shaping liturgical discourse.
