Prof. Dr. Daniel Rauh is a faculty member at TU Dortmund University within the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Biology, leading the Chemical Biology department. His research focuses on chemical biology, protein X-ray crystallography, medicinal chemistry, and oncology, particularly targeting kinases and drug resistance in lung cancer.
The Rauh group has developed innovative technologies like FLiK (Fluorescent Labels in Kinases) and the RASPELD platform for high-throughput screening. He co-founded the Zentrum für integrierte Wirkstoffforschung (ZIW) and coordinates the Drug Discovery Hub Dortmund (DDHD), an EFRE-funded consortium translating academic research into pharmaceutical applications.
His teaching includes courses in Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Protein Modification. The lab collaborates with oncologists in North Rhine-Westphalia and participates in the KomIT - Center of Competence for Innovative Diabetes Therapy.
