Daniel Raper, MBBS, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine. He holds joint appointments in Radiology & Biomedical Imaging and directs cerebrovascular/stroke services at multiple Bay Area hospitals. Dr. Raper specializes in cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery, focusing on aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, carotid disease, and stroke interventions.
He earned his medical degree from the University of Sydney (2011), completed neurosurgery residency at the University of Virginia (2019), and fellowships in neuroendovascular surgery (UVA) and cerebrovascular surgery (UCSF). His research integrates minimally invasive techniques, AI, and virtual reality to improve cerebrovascular surgery safety and education.
