Daniel Precioso

Daniel Precioso is a Research Fellow at the IE Research Datalab (IE University) specializing in data science and artificial intelligence applications for sustainable development. He holds a PhD from Cádiz University, where his team developed the NeoCam platform for neonatal care monitoring, winning second place in the 2021 OpenCV AI Competition. His research focuses on the Blue Economy, addressing challenges in sustainable fishing through machine learning analysis of tuna behavior and optimizing maritime routes using real-time environmental data. He completed a research internship at Dalhousie University and contributed to projects like UCAnFly (nanosatellite design) and Ocean Hackathon 2021, where his weather routing solution placed second.
