Dr. Daniel P. Pepe is an Instructor of Management at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from DePaul University, an MA in Philosophy from DePaul, and a BA in Classics and Philosophy from Villanova University. His research focuses on business ethics, normative ethics, political economy, leadership studies, and critical theory, with particular emphasis on ethical concepts of happiness, the moral status of need, bureaucracy, organizational behavior, and the history of virtue ethics (especially Adam Smith).
Dr. Pepe teaches courses such as Ethics in Business (MGMT 341), Values-Based Leadership (MGMT 360), and Business Ethics (MGMT 441N). His work integrates philosophical inquiry with practical business contexts, analyzing moral responsibility in organizational settings and the social structures influencing ethical decision-making.
