Daniel P. Lopresti is a Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Lehigh University's P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. He has held leadership roles including Department Chair (2003–2019), Interim Dean of Engineering (2014–2015), and Director of the Data X Initiative. He is also President of the International Association for Pattern Recognition (IAPR) and a leader in the Computing Community Consortium (CCC).

He leads Lehigh’s Nano/Human Interfaces Presidential Engineering Initiative, collaborating across Materials Science, Bioengineering, and Psychology. His work emphasizes diversity in computing and interdisciplinary innovation, including roles in Lehigh’s Silicon Valley Program and the Baker Institute.
