Daniel O’Connor

Daniel O’Connor is a Professor of Neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and a researcher at the Zanvyl Krieger Mind/Brain Institute. He investigates the neural circuits involved in active touch and proprioception, bridging sensory processing and neurobiology.

Education:

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Neuroscience from Princeton University (2006)

Research & Affiliation: After postdoctoral training at the Janelia Research Campus (Howard Hughes Medical Institute), Dr. O’Connor joined Johns Hopkins in 2012. His laboratory moved to the Zanvyl Krieger Mind/Brain Institute in 2020, where he continues to study tactile and proprioceptive neural mechanisms.
