Daniel Monti

Daniel Monti, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Saint Louis University's College of Arts and Sciences. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

His research focuses on urban redevelopment, business-community relations, civil unrest, gangs, and American urban history. He also examines race and ethnicity through the lenses of entrepreneurship, institutional development, and neighborhood adaptation. In education, his interests include institutional reform, school desegregation, and policy-making processes.
