Daniel Metcalfe

Daniel Metcalfe is Professor of Ecology at Umeå University, Sweden, investigating climate-biogeochemistry-ecosystem interactions. Research themes include global patterns of tropical forest carbon cycling, herbivore impacts on ecosystems, fire in boreal forests, and carbon-nitrogen interactions.

Leads projects on Swedish forest certification and ecosystem responses to climate change. Previously held positions at Lund University and Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.
