Daniel Marsden

Daniel Marsden is a Senior Lecturer in Learning Disabilities at Canterbury Christ Church University's School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health. A registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) since 1998, he brings extensive clinical experience across healthcare settings to his academic role.

His expertise centers on improving services for people with learning disabilities and autistic individuals through system leadership and interagency collaboration. As an Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Approved Trainer, he delivers education mapped to Core Capabilities Frameworks, emphasizing practical application in healthcare environments. His work bridges clinical practice and academic instruction to advance inclusive care standards.

Mr. Marsden actively supports professional development through coaching and mentorship, drawing from his background as a Consultant Practitioner. He leads interagency projects with the Integrated Care Board (ICB) to drive systemic improvements in disability services, focusing on translating policy into effective frontline practice.
