About
Dr. Daniel MacPhee is a Professor and Head of the Department of Veterinary Biomedical Sciences at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Saskatchewan. His research focuses on placental development, uterine function during pregnancy, and stress protein signaling in reproductive tissues. He leads projects funded by NSERC (2023-2028) investigating chaperome proteins' roles in myometrial adaptation and placental health. Collaborations include work on PRRSV-2 infection mechanisms through the Swine Health Research Group and One Reproductive Health Group. Dr. MacPhee's lab trains students for careers in reproductive sciences, biotechnology, and veterinary medicine. He holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) from Prince Edward Island and a Ph.D. from Western Ontario.
