- MSc in Anthropology and Development, London School of Economics
- BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, University of Oxford
His research examines how corporations navigate geopolitical tensions in natural resource development, particularly regarding climate change strategies and ESG implementation. Litvin investigates the political pressures facing energy and mining firms, advocating for innovative resource diplomacy frameworks and sustainable corporate practices that address both environmental imperatives and community concerns in resource-rich regions.
His recent publications reveal a consistent focus on critical minerals diplomacy, climate negotiation strategies with fossil fuel producers, and corporate-environmentalist collaboration models. Litvin's work demonstrates how resource geopolitics increasingly shapes climate action, emphasizing pragmatic solutions for high-stakes negotiations in conflict zones and transition economies while bridging academic theory with corporate implementation.
His scholarly recognition includes:
- Wincott Award for young financial journalist of the year
Litvin's advisory work spans corporate leadership engagements at McKinsey & Company and Rio Tinto, where he developed human rights frameworks, alongside ongoing mediation through Resource Resolutions. His projects typically involve multi-stakeholder grants addressing resource governance in fragile states and climate transition financing mechanisms for extractive industries.
He directs Resource Resolutions' conflict mediation initiatives and previously built Critical Resource into a leading sustainability consultancy. Current work involves designing resource diplomacy protocols for critical minerals and developing corporate frameworks for navigating geopolitical volatility in energy transition supply chains through partnerships with international organizations and resource-dependent governments.
