Daniel Lin

Associate Professor Daniel Lin specializes in Piano Performance and Pedagogy at Indiana Wesleyan University's Division of Music+Theatre. He teaches courses in class piano, pedagogy, and ensemble performance. Previously, he served as visiting faculty at the University of Evansville.

His research and performance interests include classical piano repertoire, ensemble collaboration, and innovative pedagogical approaches. Dr. Lin has performed internationally in Canada, the U.S., Europe, and Asia, highlighted by solo appearances with orchestras like the Marion Philharmonic and collaborations in festivals such as the Max Reger Festival. He has received critical acclaim for performances of works like Bach’s Variations and Fugue, Op. 81.

Notable awards include finalist placements in major international competitions and prizes from the Bosendorfer Concerto and Canadian Music Competitions. He actively adjudicates festivals in the Midwest and mentors students who frequently win scholarships and awards. Dr. Lin serves on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Music Teachers Association, coordinating Hoosier Auditions.
