Daniel Lende

Daniel Lende is an Associate Professor and Undergraduate Director at the University of South Florida's Department of Anthropology. His work bridges biocultural and medical anthropology through innovative theoretical and methodological approaches.

Research interests include:

• Substance use, abuse, and interventions in behavioral health
• Neuroanthropology and stress mechanisms
• Cybersecurity and public anthropology applications
• Social media's role in journalism and health contexts
• Comparative studies between Colombia and the United States

He advises graduate students including Alana Alexander, Katelynn Carlsen, Melissa Eustache, and John Pendygraft.
