Daniel Leidermark

Professor Daniel Leidermark leads research in solid mechanics at Linköping University's Department of Management and Engineering. His work focuses on high-temperature mechanical behavior of single-crystal nickel-base superalloys used in gas turbines. Research combines experimental methods and constitutive modeling to predict thermomechanical fatigue, crack initiation, and propagation under cyclic loading conditions.

Teaching responsibilities include courses in Solid Mechanics and Advanced Material/Computational Mechanics. His research addresses UN Sustainable Development Goals through improved energy efficiency and reliability of power generation systems.
