Daniel Larkin

Daniel Larkin is a Professor and Extension Specialist in the Department of Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences. His work bridges academic research with practical extension programs that serve the public, natural resource agencies, and restoration practitioners across Minnesota and beyond.

Larkin's research focuses on restoration ecology, invasion ecology, and plant community dynamics across multiple ecosystems including lakes, wetlands, woodlands, and prairies. His lab investigates how plant communities respond to species invasions and anthropogenic disturbances, with particular emphasis on developing practical guidance for restoration, conservation, and invasive species management.
