Prof. Daniel Höchle is a Professor of Banking and Finance at the Institute of Financial Management (IFF) within the FHNW School of Business in Basel, Switzerland. He also serves as Head of the Competence Center Banking & Finance. His academic roles include lecturing at the University of Basel’s WWZ and Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). He holds a Dr. rer. pol. (summa cum laude) from the University of Basel (2007) and a Licentiate in Economics (2000).
His research focuses on Bank Management, Empirical Finance, Applied Econometrics, and Asset Management, with notable contributions to asset pricing, portfolio theory, and crisis economics. He has received prestigious awards including the Engelbert Dockner Memorial Prize (2017) and the Swiss Finance Association’s Best Paper Award (2010).
