Daniel Hägi-Pedersen

Daniel Hägi-Pedersen is a Researcher at the Department of Regional Health Research under the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark. He is also currently serving as the Head of Research and consultant at Næstved-Slagelse-Ringsted Hospitals since September 2019.

Research Interests:

• Focuses on Anaesthesiology, Postoperative Pain, and Delirium.
• Active in pharmacological studies involving Ibuprofen, Paracetamol, and Dexamethasone.
• Investigates outcomes of Total Hip/Knee Arthroplasty and adverse effects of analgesics.

Recent Research Trends:

• Develops evidence-based guidelines for NSAID use post-arthroplasty (2025).
• Conducts detailed statistical analysis on ibuprofen-related adverse effects in orthopedic surgeries (2025).
• Explores delirium prevention strategies in postanesthesia care units (2024).
• Analyzes dexamethasone's role in reducing morphine consumption after knee surgery (2024).

Projects:

• Co-supervisor for a PhD project on delirium management in older inpatients (2024–2028).
• Participates in the PERISAFE trial, evaluating ibuprofen safety in orthopedic patients.
