F. Daniel Hidalgo is an Associate Professor of Political Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is also an affiliate of the Institute for Data, Systems, and Society at MIT. His research focuses on the political economy of elections, campaigns, and representation in developing democracies, particularly in Latin America, with a strong emphasis on Brazilian politics.
