Dr Daniel Harding is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL), affiliated with the William Harvey Research Institute and the Department of Biochemical Pharmacology. He holds a joint role with University College London (UCL), where he previously served as an Academic Clinical Fellow. His dual background combines clinical cardiology training with research expertise in molecular biology and genetic immunology.
Dr Harding completed his chemistry and medicine degrees at the University of Oxford, followed by cardiology training in London. His research focuses on immune system interactions in cardiovascular diseases, particularly dilated cardiomyopathy and myocarditis. He leads studies on the immune response to cardiogenic shock and collaborates with industry partners like AstraZeneca.
