University of Louisiana at LafayetteAbout
Dr. Daniel G. Davis is an Associate Professor of Mathematics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, specializing in algebraic topology with a focus on stable homotopy theory. After receiving his Ph.D. from Northwestern University, he completed postdoctoral positions at Purdue and Wesleyan Universities before joining UL Lafayette in 2007.
His research explores spectra with continuous actions by profinite groups, homotopy fixed points, and chromatic homotopy theory. Recent work addresses the relationship between K(n)-local spectra and their Morava modules.
Dr. Davis mentors graduate students in topology and organizes the department's topology seminar. His publications appear in leading journals including Algebraic & Geometric Topology and Transactions of the American Mathematical Society.
