Daniel Firoozi

Daniel Firoozi is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Pepperdine University's Robert Day School of Economics and Finance. His research focuses on the Economics of Education, Labor Economics, Political Economy, and Public Finance. He holds a B.A. from UC San Diego and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from UC Irvine.

His research explores the intersection of economic policies and societal outcomes, including the impact of merit scholarships on student enrollment, the effects of economic distress on electoral behavior in regions like Appalachia, and age discrimination in job advertisements. His work often employs empirical methods to analyze labor market dynamics and public policy implications.
