Daniel Cañas is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Wake Forest University, where he has been a faculty member since 1987. Prior to this, he served as a faculty member at the University of Kansas from 1984 to 1987 and as founder and Director of the Computer Center at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica (ITCR) from 1976 to 1980, contributing to the establishment of its Computer Science Department.
