Dr. Daniel Castelo is the William Kellon Quick Professor of Theology and Methodist Studies at Duke University's Divinity School, serving concurrently as Associate Dean for Academic Formation (2023–2024). He holds a Ph.D. from Duke University (2005), M.Div. from Church of God Theological Seminary, and undergraduate degrees from Washington University and Lee University. His work bridges Latinx theologies, Methodist traditions, and pneumatology, emphasizing experiential spirituality and doctrinal innovation.
Research interests include the doctrine of God, theological interpretation of Scripture, and intersections between Pentecostalism and Latinx theological perspectives.
