Dr. Daniel Cadman is a Senior Lecturer in English Literature at the Department of Humanities, Sheffield Hallam University. He joined full-time in 2016 after completing his PhD there and serving as an Associate Lecturer. His teaching focuses on Renaissance and 19th-century literature, including modules like Epic Transformations and Shakespearean Drama. His research explores early modern drama, particularly political themes in tragedy and the interplay between literature and commerce. He authored Sovereigns and Subjects in Early Modern Neo-Senecan Drama (2015) and co-edits a collection on early modern tragedy sub-genres. He serves as Managing Editor of Early Modern Literary Studies and contributed to projects like the Lost Plays Database. His work includes analyzing Shakespeare’s plays and editing The Concealed Fancies by Jane Cavendish and Elizabeth Brackley.
