About
Dr. Daniel Burt is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Flanders Marine Institute (Ostend, Belgium), specializing in ocean biogeochemistry with a focus on carbon and nitrogen cycles. He holds a Doctorate of Natural Sciences from the International Max Planck Research School on Earth System Modelling (Hamburg, Germany). His current research reconstructs Southern Ocean heat and carbon fluxes using AI4PEX project data, while his doctoral work analyzed Permian climate dynamics preceding the End-Permian Mass Extinction.
