Daniel Briggs

Dr. Daniel Briggs is a Senior Researcher at Northumbria University, specializing in ethnographic studies of marginal social groups and systemic social issues. His work focuses on homelessness, drug use, refugee experiences, and the societal impacts of crises like the pandemic. He has authored influential books such as Dead End Lives: Drugs and Violence in the City Shadows (2017) and Climate Changed: Refugee Border Stories (2020), earning the Outstanding Book Award from the International Criminology Division in 2018.
