Daniel Blinka

Professor Daniel Blinka is a Professor of Law at Marquette University Law School, where he directs the Certificate in Litigation program. He holds a J.D. and a Ph.D. in United States History from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His expertise spans Evidence Law, Criminal Procedure, and Legal History.

Education: J.D., University of Wisconsin Law School; Ph.D. in United States History, University of Wisconsin, Madison.

Research interests include the Sixth Amendment's Confrontation Clause, federal evidence rules, and the historical evolution of jury trials. He contributes to the Wright & Graham Federal Practice and Procedure: Evidence treatise, currently updating six volumes and authoring a new volume on the Confrontation Clause.

Awards: Recipient of Marquette University's teaching excellence award and multiple Law School teaching awards.

Advising/Grants: Active in legal education reform and practitioner training. Previously served as a Milwaukee County District Attorney. Currently sits on the Wisconsin Board of Bar Examiners and the Board of Directors of the Legal Aid Society of Milwaukee.

Labs/Teams: Leads the Certificate in Litigation program and collaborates with the Wisconsin Judicial Council to revise state evidence rules.
