Dr. Daniel B. Olsen is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Colorado State University's Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering, where he has been faculty since 2006. His research focuses on internal combustion engines, energy systems, and renewable fuels, with emphasis on emissions reduction and efficiency improvement for industrial natural gas engines.
Dr. Olsen's research group conducts R&D on engine systems for power generation and gas compression applications. He maintains extensive international collaborations in the United States, Spain, France, South Korea, China, and Chile, working with partners including Pipeline Research Council International and Guascor.
