Dana R. Hermanson is a Professor of Accounting and the Dinos Eminent Scholar Chair of Private Enterprise at Kennesaw State University. She serves as Director of Research for the Corporate Governance Group.
Her research focuses on fraud detection, corporate governance, and financial reporting. She co-authored two COSO-sponsored studies on fraudulent financial reporting and introduced the Fraud Diamond model with David Wolfe. Her work has been recognized in the BYU Accounting Research Rankings from 1990 to present.
She has received the American Accounting Association's 2020 Outstanding Auditing Educator Award and frequently contributes letters to the editor in prominent publications like The Wall Street Journal, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and the Marietta Daily Journal.
