Dr. Dana Isac is an Associate Professor in the Department of Classics, Modern Languages and Linguistics at Concordia University. Her research focuses on the syntactic and semantic properties of clause types (declaratives, interrogatives, imperatives, and exclamatives), with a strong emphasis on the syntax-semantics and syntax-phonology interfaces. She co-authored the influential monograph I-language: An Introduction to Linguistics as Cognitive Science (Oxford University Press, 2008) and is currently working on a new book, The Morphosyntactic Ingredients of Force.
