Dana Indihar serves as Assistant Professor of Microbiology/Virology in the Department of Biological Sciences at Alabama A&M University, actively participating in the Science Education Alliance-Phage Hunters Advancing Genomics and Evolutionary Science (SEA-PHAGES) program.
Her research specializes in bacteriophage discovery and genomic analysis, with particular focus on Arthrobacter globiformis host systems. Through the SEA-PHAGES initiative, she integrates undergraduate education with cutting-edge research in microbial evolution and genomics, emphasizing hands-on laboratory techniques and bioinformatics.
