Dana Daniel Blake

Dana Daniel Blake is an Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education at Samford University's School of Health Professions, Department of Physical Therapy. With over 25 years of clinical experience, she specializes in manual therapy, spine care, and ethical practice.

Her research focuses on manual therapy for spine pain, burnout in physical therapy professionals, and integrating spiritual care into allied health. Recent work analyzes cost-effective functional capacity evaluations and dry needling.

Blake received the 2024 Barbara Bradford Leadership Award and the 2020 Collegiality Award for her academic contributions. She actively mentors students and participates in community initiatives, including mission trips and cancer recovery support via fly fishing.
