Dana Begin is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Connecticut and serves as Director of the Evidence-Based Practices and Grants Division at the Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). She holds a BS in Occupational Therapy from Quinnipiac University (2000) and an MPA from the University of Connecticut (2020).
With 19+ years in mental health, Dana pioneered the Learning Inventory of Skills Development (L.I.S.T.), a functional assessment tool used across Connecticut’s Department of Children and Families for adolescents. Her work bridges clinical practice with policy, emphasizing evidence-based interventions.
