Dan Peet

Associate Professor Dan Peet is affiliated with the University of Adelaide within the School of Biological Sciences under the Faculty of Sciences, Engineering and Technology. He is eligible to supervise Masters and PhD students.

• Research Focus: Molecular mechanisms of cellular response to hypoxia, including oxygen-sensing hydroxylase enzymes, Hypoxic Inducible Transcription Factors (HIFs), and their role in diseases like cancer and retinal disorders.
• Metabolism Studies: Investigates parallels between cancer cell metabolism and photoreceptor cells in the retina, aiming to uncover therapeutic implications for retinal diseases.
