Professor Dan Lubman is a leading academic in addiction studies at Monash University, serving as Director of Turning Point and the inaugural Director of the Monash Addiction Research Centre. His work focuses on substance use disorders, gambling addiction, and mental health comorbidities. He holds a Professorship in Addiction Studies and Services within the Eastern Health Clinical School.
Key research interests include neurobiology of addiction, adolescent brain development impacts, and school-based interventions. He has published over 500 peer-reviewed works and led major projects like the OLAM trial for methamphetamine withdrawal and the MTL school program for substance use help-seeking.
