About
Dan Holstein is an Associate Professor in the Department of Oceanography & Coastal Sciences at Louisiana State University, where he directs the Seascape Ecology Lab. His research examines coral reef ecology, larval dispersal, metapopulation dynamics, and environmental change impacts on marine ecosystems.
Current projects include NSF-funded studies on climate change effects on stone crab dispersal, coral disease transmission dynamics, and marine reserve design in partnership with Rare's Fish Forever Initiative. Research integrates field observations with biophysical modeling to predict species responses to environmental stressors.
