Dan Fries is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Kentucky. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology (2020) and has held postdoctoral roles at the University of Texas at Austin.

Key methodologies include plasma physics, combustion chemistry, and advanced optical diagnostics. The CoRe Flow Lab at UK supports experimental and modeling work in these areas.
