Dan DiTursi

Dr. Dan DiTursi serves as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Computer Science at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, bringing decades of K-12 and collegiate teaching experience to his role. A lifelong resident of Troy since his student days at RPI, he actively engages with the Capital Region community through multiple channels.

His academic credentials include:

• Ph.D. in Computer Science from SUNY-Albany (2019), dissertation: "Wrinkles in Time: An Exploration of Non-Uniform Temporal Resolution in Network Data"
• M.S. in Computer Science from RPI (2002)
• B.S. in Computer Science from RPI (1998)

Research interests center on temporal dynamics in network data systems, with specialization in non-uniform resolution analysis. His work bridges theoretical computer science with practical applications in time-series data processing and network monitoring systems.

Outside academia, Dr. DiTursi maintains dual commitments as a decades-long official with both the Capital District Football Officials Association and Capital District Lacrosse Officials Association. He is also an avid participant in diverse gaming ecosystems including board, card, video, and role-playing games.
