Dan Davis is an Associate Professor of Classics at Luther College, specializing in classical archaeology and nautical archaeology. He teaches courses in ancient Greek, Latin, and classical studies, including archaeology, ancient science, and marine archaeology. His research focuses on ancient Mediterranean trade networks, underwater exploration, and maritime heritage preservation.

His research bridges classical studies with advanced technology, analyzing artifacts’ cultural, economic, and environmental contexts.
