Dakari Quimby

Dakari Quimby is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry & The Behavioral Sciences (Clinician Educator) and serves as Data and Metrics Coordinator and Assistant Director for Outreach and Prevention at Counseling and Mental Health (CMH) at the University of Southern California.

His research focuses on mental health equity, culturally responsive interventions, and resilience in marginalized communities. Publications emphasize violence prevention, youth development in high-risk environments, and community-based mental health strategies.

Recent work explores cross-age peer mentoring, culturally adapted counseling frameworks, and trauma-informed approaches for urban youth. Research consistently addresses intersections of race, poverty, and mental health outcomes.
