Daisy James is a Jacob Fabrikant Creative Fellow in Health Humanities at the Institute of Advanced Studies, University College London, from March 2025 to March 2026. Her practice-led, interdisciplinary research explores themes of care, belonging, and the intersection of digital and physical environments through participatory art, ethnography, and sensory methods.

Her work interrogates invisible systems of exclusion in public spaces and experiments with creative practices to reimagine care frameworks grounded in lived experience. During her fellowship, she will focus on olfaction as a tool for understanding belonging among visually impaired communities, challenging sight-centric urban design norms.
