Daile Lynn Rung is a Senior Lecturer in Social Sciences at the Faculty of Arts and Society, Charles Darwin University. Her research explores health, wellbeing, and social inclusion outcomes for First Nations, migrant, and refugee communities, utilizing postcolonial feminist and decolonising frameworks. She holds a PhD from Charles Darwin University (2017), where her thesis examined the mobility challenges of precarious non-citizens.
Research interests span sociology, social policy, migration studies, refugee integration, human rights, and gender equality. Her work critically analyzes policy impacts on marginalized groups and advocates for inclusive social frameworks. Recent publications focus on COVID-19's exacerbation of migrant inequalities, refugee resettlement geographies, and Indigenous educational participation.
Dr. Rung supervises postgraduate research and collaborates with community organizations, drawing on prior experience in gender equality policy for the Northern Territory Government.
