Cynthia Mitsakis

Cynthia Mitsakis is an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean of Nursing at the Cummings School of Nursing & Health Sciences, Endicott College. She previously served as an Assistant Professor at Lawrence Memorial/Regis College. Her academic background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing (Endicott College, 2018), Master of Science in Nursing (Salem State, 2012), and Bachelor of Science in Biology (University of New England, 1994).

Her research focuses on resilience among healthcare workers, moral distress in nursing education, and improving Parkinson’s disease care through faculty training. Notable achievements include participation in the Edmond J. Safra Visiting Nurse Faculty Program (2018), a prestigious initiative by the Parkinson’s Foundation to train nursing educators nationwide.

Teaching responsibilities include courses like Health Assessment, Acute Care Nursing, and Fundamentals of Nursing. Her work bridges clinical practice, education, and patient care innovation, emphasizing simulation-based learning and interdisciplinary approaches.
