Cristina Busuioc is a Professor at the Department of Science and Engineering of Oxide Materials and Nanomaterials, Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology, University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.

Her research focuses on bioengineered scaffolds, antimicrobial nanocomposites, and electrochemical synthesis of materials for medical applications. She has published extensively on bacterial cellulose-based composites for wound healing and tissue engineering, 3D-printed scaffolds, and thin films for biomedical coatings.
Students advised include Cristian Raducanu, Alexandra Mocanu, Iuliana Deleanu, and Anicuta Stoica-Guzun. Her recent work explores the integration of advanced fabrication techniques like electrospinning, laser ablation, and sol-gel processing.
